KOPI, Rabat – A documentary broadcast by 2M TV channel on Pegasus has exposed the Western media false allegations, without any basis, maid against Morocco to destabilize it through the Pegasus spyware case spearheaded by “Forbidden Stories consortium”, “Amnesty International” and some NGOs in total violation of deontological ethics of journalism.
Theses false allegations were launched by some European countries which fell uncomfortable, since the Kingdom of Morocco has consolidated its international status after expanding its economic, political and diplomatic influence in Africa, irking those European countries by such an outstanding performance.
The baseless Pegasus case, which was reported by “Le Monde”, “Mediapart”, “Radio France” and “German Süddeutsche Zeitung GmbH”, undermines the credibility of these media outlets, while “Amnesty International” has long shown its hatred for Morocco.
In this context, Morocco’s lawyer in the Pegasus case, Olivier Baratelli, has shown in the Documentary that “no serious investigation was conducted and no one verified the slanderous statements or press reports’’, stressing that the prosecuted media outlets have not produced any proof to back up their claims.
The government of Morocco further stressed in its statement that the country “has once again become victim to attacks from the media and NGOs, the purpose of which is to subjugate the kingdom to their will”. The statement noted that Morocco will use legal means on the international level to “oppose” anyone who uses “fake claims.”
